With the growing popularity and ability to win significant money at World Series ropings, we felt that it was only fair to add an additional league for women and girls under 21 years of age who are members.

In previous years, the WSTR wasn’t that much of a concern for the WTRA. However, with World Series ropings on the rise across the country, we were concerned about those members or prospective members who didn’t have the ability to compete at the WSTR’s.

For the sake of fairness, we opted to create the Junior League, which will exclude any winnings from WSTR ropings. This league is open to any natural-born woman aged 21 or younger who would like to compete against peers of a similar level for cash and prizes.

All prize money won at events (jackpots or rodeos) and reported within the 14 day time window will be counted towards the standings.

The top 10 Junior League ropers will be awarded at the end of the year awards banquet.
